Girls Trip

Released on 21st July 2017, it’s an American comedy flick written by Kenya Barris and Tracy Oliver, directed by Malcolm D. Lee. It’s a hilarious comedy of four friends that travel to the New Orleans for the annual Essence Festival.Though the four women have drifted apart, they reunite in the Big Easy after years where their sisterhood is renewed, wild sides are rediscovered, and the dancing, drinking, brawling, and romancing brings out the comic brilliance in its stars Queen Latifah, Jada Pinkett-Smith friends, and Regina Hall—and breakthrough performance from the remarkably hilarious Tiffany Haddish.

Lady Bird

Released on 1st December 2017, it’s a comedy-drama filmed in Sacramento, California written and directed by Greta Gerwig. “Lady Bird”Christine is a high school senior craving for adventure, superiority, and chances, but none of them is found in her Sacramento Catholic high school. The story continues with her senior year in high school where she finds her first romance, participation in the school play, and most importantly, applying for college.

The movie stars, Saoirse Ronan as the Lady Bird, Laurie Metcalf as a beleaguered mother, with Tracy Letts, Beanie Feldstein, Lucas Hedges, Timothée Chalamet, Stephen McKinley Henderson,& and Lois Smith the movie is a very affecting and a charming comedy of the year.

The Big Sick

Released on 14th July, Kumail Nanjiani co-wrote the script with wife Emily V. Gordon leads the movie. He plays the role of a struggling Pakistani comedian in Chicago, meets a white woman named Emily and falls in love with her.In the meantime, the romance turns sour because of his family’s oppositions and get complicated when a sudden illness sends Emily into a medically-induced coma. Kumail struggles as a comedian and deals with Emily’s tragic illness. The movie goes further with figuring out who he really is and what his belief is? Michael Showalter has given a beautiful direction and stars Kumail Nanjiani, Zoe Kazan, and Holly Hunter.

I Don’t Feel at Home In This World Anymore

Released on 24th February 2017 the movie is directed and written by Macon Blair and stars Melanie Lynskey, Chris Doubek, and Marilyn Faith Hickey. Ruth is depressed as she faces a string of humiliation every day and discovers that she has been robbed.In vengeance upon those that ruined her life, she clubs up with her weird neighbor crazy for martial arts and finds a new sense of purpose. But they soon find themselves trapped against a pack of wicked criminals. it was.

Ingrid Goes West

Released on 25th August, Directed by Matt Spicer and co-written with David Branson Smith the movie stars Aubrey Plaza, Elizabeth Olsen, and O’Shea Jackson Jr. The movie revolves around Ingrid Thorburn, with a history of confusing “likes” for meaningful relationships starts stalking a famous “influencer” on Instagram Taylor Sloane who flaunts a boho-chic lifestyle like a dream. Ingrid becomes obsessed with her lifestyle so she moves to LA and succeeds in insinuating herself into the social media star’s lifestyle. Their friendship turns sour when she learns that her pictures were loaded with photo filters and Taylor’s lifestyle isn’t as shiny as it seems in real life.

Landline

Released on 21 July 2017, Director Gillian Robespierre co-wrote the movie with Elisabeth Holm.  Starred by Jenny Slate, Jay Duplass, Abby Quinn, this film sets in 1995. The film revolves around a soon-to-be-married New Yorker struggling to settle down with her fiancé. Her family is in a catastrophe when she discovers with her teenage sister that their father is cheating on their mother. The film portrays when sisters become friends and parents become humans.

The Incredible Jessica James

It’s a delightfully sharp romantic comedy directed and written by Jim Strouse and released on 28th July 2017. The movie stars Jessica Williams, Chris O’Dowd, and Lakeith Stanfield. The Daily Show’s Jessica James, a struggling Playwright in New York depicts a young woman who creates her identity on her own terms. She proves her status of a leading lady that after a breakup, bounces back into dating a single older guy.

The Meyerowitz Stories

The movie released on 13th October 2017, directed and written by Noah Baumbach, and stars Adam Sandler, Grace Van Patten, and Dustin Hoffman. The movie is on the hapless New Yorkers. A separated family gets together in New York for an event to celebrate the artistic work of their father.  The movie has sharp, stinging dialogue and anuproarious supporting performance from Emma Thompson.

Downsizing

It is released on December 22nd 2017, directed by Alexander Payne and co-written with Jim Taylor, the movie stars Matt Damon, Hong Chau, Christoph Waltz, and Kristen Wiig.

It’s an unexpectedly sweet satire aboutan occupational therapist from Omaha who realizes that his life would be better if he shrunk himself to five inches tall by using a medical procedure “Downsizing”. Hemoves to a paradise for America’s tiny population, where his meek wages sum to millions. This new life allows his wife to save the planet and a wealthy lifestyle.

The House

Released on June 30th 2017, directed by Andrew Jay Cohen and co-written with Brendan O’Brien the movie stars Amy Poehler, Will Ferrell,Nick Kroll, and Jason Mantzoukas.

The story goes that after the town scholarship program lacks funding, two parents are left with no money to send their daughter to college. So they start an illegal casino along with a friend in his home to make enough money before the summer ends.

Ferdinand

Released on 15th December 2017, directed by Carlos Saldanha; written by Munro Leaf and Robert Lawson.The movie stars John Cena, Kate McKinnon, and Bobby Cannavale. A story of a young pacifist and flower-loving calf mistaken for a dangerous beast is torn away from the family and is sent to a training camp. Ferdinand builds up the nerve to escape from the Spanish bull-training camp. In the struggle, it ends up in little Nina’s calm and fragrant farm. Released on 22nd December 2017, Directed by Trish Sie and written by Kay Cannon, Mike White the movie stars Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, and Brittany Snow.The Bellas are drifted apart after winning the world championships. They discover that there are no job prospects for making music with the mouth. Butthey reunite one last time for an international USO tour where they face a group that uses instruments and voices. The Bellas make some music and some questionable decisions.

Going In Style

Released on 7th April 2017, director Zach Braff has recreated the 1979 movie with the same title along with writers Theodore Melfi and Edward Cannon. The story is about three seniors, living social security check to check and sometimes reduced even to eating dog food,they come to decide that they have had enough of it. So, they plan a bank robbery without even knowing how to handle a gun! It’s a social observation on growing old in America and what circumstances make us do. The movie released on 22nd December 2017, is directed by Lawrence Sher and written by Justin Malen. The movie stars Owen Wilson, Ed Helms, and Glenn Close. Released on 12th May 2017, snatched is directed by Jonathan Levine, written by Katie Dippold and the star cast includes Amy Schumer, Goldie Hawn, and Kim Caramele.
