Before you rush to a mall to buy all the skincare products they have in stock, just give this blog a read.

We have collected home remedies for all your beauty related woes. The best part is that these solutions require common ingredients that you can easily find in your kitchen. The following are simple DIY solutions to some of the most common beauty problems.

Chapped Lips

Chapped lips (commonly known as dry lips or cracked lips) are a major problem in the winter season. The causes of the dry lips include factors like dehydration and malnutrition, among other things. You may also suffer from dry lips if have the habit of licking your lips repeatedly, this is because excessive moisture is bad for your lips and causes them to get chapped.

You can soothe your chapped lips by using some brown sugar. Take about a tablespoon of brown sugar and wet it with a few drops of water. Now use this slurry to cover your lips and let it rest for 2-3 minutes. Repeat this process twice a day for two days to heal your lips. This slurry will help your lips re-gain their moisture.

If you want a quicker solution to your problem, try an aloe vera balm. To make the balm, take three tablespoons of aloe vera gel and mix it with 3-4 drops of tea tree oil, layer it on your lips and let it rest for 5-6 minutes to get rid of your chapped lips.

Dry skin

In the colder months, everyone struggles with dry and flaky skin. This problem is annoying but it can be cured with regular household items in no time. Take a bowl and squeeze the juice of one lemon in it, add five teaspoons of sugar and one teaspoon of olive oil, and mix well. Apply it on the skin and let sit for at least 2 minutes before washing thoroughly.

The acids in the lemon juice will loosen the glue that holds the cells of the skin together allowing the moisture in the olive oil to seep in and hydrate the skin.

While beauty tips can remedy the situation, you must identify the underlying cause of your dry skin. For most people not drinking enough water can dry out the skin, so make sure to stay hydrated.

Stained teeth

If you drink a lot of coffee or don’t brush your teeth often, they can get covered with a thin layer of yellow-white bacteria called plaque. Despite being a common issue, it is very embarrassing because dirty teeth not only look bad but also smell terrible and no one wants to be known as the person whose breath smells bad.

To get rid of this problem take a small amount of baking soda and mix it with a few drops of water to make a thick paste. Use this paste thrice a week as your toothpaste in small amounts to make the teeth as clean as possible. Daily use of this remedy is not recommended as baking soda is very harsh on tooth enamel.

Rashes

If you have small marks on your skin that cause irritation than you might have rashes. Rashes are closely related to pimples and so is their treatment. You can get rashes from many sources including pollen allergic reactions, excessive use of pain-relieving creams, wearing tough fabrics, scratching your skin a lot, etc.

In order to treat rashes,  take 2 tablespoons of aloe vera gel and add 1 teaspoon of coconut oil and add equal amounts of tea tree oil, baking soda, and apple cider vinegar. Use this mixture daily, let it sit for 6 minutes on your skin, and wash it off. You can store this mixture for over two weeks in an airtight container.

If the baking soda separates and lifts to the surface it means that your mixture is spoiled. In order to increase its life, store it in a good-quality glass container that is airtight. You can buy such containers at

Dark circles

Dark circles are the devil because they can ruin the beauty of an otherwise perfect face.  They make your face look two-toned and messy and give a tired appearance. The underlying cause of dark circles can be lack of sleep or too much stress. You should take better care of your health if you want to get rid of them permanently.

However, beauty tips can help reduce the appearance of dark circles.  Take a cucumber and cut it in thin slices and put the slices over the dark circles. As cucumber has a lot of water and vitamin C it will increase the amount of moisture in the eyes and terminate the dark circles. You can also place tea bags on your eyes to allow the tannic acid in them to take care of the dark circles.

You just need to learn how to use them in order to achieve clear glowing skin and a pretty smile. The home remedies presented here are simple solutions to annoying problems that just need a little bit of effort and consistency to fix. Whichever home remedy you decide to use, remember to apply it regularly and also take care of your general health and well being because your outer beauty is a reflection of your inner wellbeing.
