  • On a Urine Drug Test, weed intake will show positive within 2 to 5 hours of use. This is based on frequency of weed use, though it does not take into account the body fat and weight of the user:
    • Positive for 1 to 6 days for One-time user
    • Positive for 7 to 13 days for Moderate user
    • Positive for 15 days or more for Frequent user
    • Positive for 30 days or more for Heavy user
    • In some cases heavy smokers have being tested positive even after 45 to 90 days of quitting
  • A Saliva Drug Test will test positive only within an hour of use, however it might only show positive for just twelve hours after last usage.
  • In case of a Hair Drug Test, THC appears around 7 days after using and nearly all hair drug tests would test for a 90-day period. However, THC doesn’t bind to the hair follicle therefore hair test is not considered a correct testing method for weed use.
  • A Blood test can come positive if THC level is detected above 0.3ng/ml, this can appear in the blood sample for up to a month. Blood tests are not conducted in most cases because they are expensive and should be administered by a professional.

As per the National Institute on Drug Abuse, the quantity of THC in weed you can be an aspect in how long it remains in your body.
